Do Those Collector's Editions Make You Feel Empty Inside?

As I await for my Dead Island Riptide Rigor Mortis Edition to be released in a week and a half, there has been this controversy that has surrounded this collector's edition being less favorable to the Zombie Bait edition that is being sold in the UK.  This controversy is not the first of its kind, it does bring up many discussions in different forums.  New video games are usually 60 dollars while collector's editions go for 80 dollars and up. Most collector's editions usually have a replica of an item or a figure of a character, steel case for the game and usually downloadable content which may or may not be included with the regular 60 dollar game.  On top of that certain ones differ from country to country and those editions that are being sold from a country other than the one you reside in can be difficult to obtain as a pre order.
Provided below are pictures of the different collector's editions for Dead Island Riptide to help illustrate my information.

I personally have only purchased two Collector Editions; Uncharted 3 Collector's Edition and Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Hardened Edition.  My Uncharted 3 Collector's Edition is now collecting dust on top of its cheaply made Traveler's Chest which holds inside the Nathan Drake belt buckle that I will never use and a cheap necklace holding a ring which is a replica of the ring believed to be from his ancestor, Sir Francis Drake.  I do however like my Nathan Drake figure.  On the other hand, my Call of Duty Hardened Edition I feel was worth it, from the steel case to the challenge coins and the exclusive DLC that is not available for purchase anywhere and the two Nuketown maps I was able to play in early.

Have you ever purchased a collector's edition for a game that left you.....unsatisfied?  Are there any out there that were worth it?  Are there any that you are looking forward to?  Please feel free to comment below and let me know what you think about the topic at hand.  The link below sends you to a website that has information on several collector's editions that have came out or will be coming out.  Enjoy!
