You play as the first Assassin's Creed series female protagonist Aveline de Grandpre, an African-French assassin around the end of the French and Indian War during 18th century New Orleans. This game was first released on the PS Vita and now has been released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Steam. Here is my review on Liberation. <b>WARNING: LIMITED SPOILERS</b><br />

Assassin's Creed is no stranger to female assassins, as you that played the previous titles may remember that Ezio's sister Claudia joined the Brotherhood as well as the female recruits that reached the level of assassin. But this is the first time that you can play as a female and Aveline's skills do not disappoint. She has all the skills like her male counterparts but there are things about her that stand out which makes her unique. Her gender and her ethnicity helps her get through situations during the middle of the 18th century where sexism and slavery was very much alive.<br />
<br />

<span style="font-size: xx-small;">"I stand with those who stand with me. I lure my prey through the guise of a lady. I escape unnoticed through the veil of a slave. And though I may conceal my identity, one thing is certain: commit injustice in this world, and I'll send you to the next. I am Aveline de Grandpre, I am an Assassin, and I fight for liberation."</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One of the major things that you can do while playing as Aveline is access her three personas. She has an Assassin persona, a slave persona and a lady persona. The Assassin persona has access to every weapon as well as she can climb, jump, run and the persona has the most health. While Aveline is an assassin, she is always notorious, which means that guards will watch her actions when she is in view, there is no way of getting rid of the lowest notoriety level (she can bribe someone to lower it if it's higher than the first level). As the slave persona, Aveline can blend in with other slaves to find out information and to save and free slaves. She can run, jump and climb but has access to limited weapons (hidden blade, small weapon, blow dart and smoke bombs). The slave persona starts of with no notoriety but can gain it by committing crimes as well as climbing, jumping and running on buildings. You can rip off posters to lower your notoriety. The lady persona lets you charm certain men into giving you what you want, moving them out of a guarding spot or taking them to a nice secluded area where you can give him your blade to his chest. You can also bribe other guards so they can ignore you entering areas that you aren't allowed. The lady persona has the least amount of weapons, usually just a hidden blade and her parasol that is a hidden blowdart. She cannot climb or jump anywhere, she must remain ladylike. No notoriety at the start but she can gain some by committing crimes. She can remove it by assassinating witnesses.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;">Aveline and Conner</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Aveline's story takes you through her life as a daughter of a former slave and a very privileged father. She was separated from her mother at a young age and is very determined to find her. Aveline herself is free from slavery but decides to help slaves find a better life in the Bayou. Also she is living her life in the way of the Brotherhood but during the story she end up dealing with things that make her question their methods as she is dealing with the Templars. Her story a one point crosses Conner's in New York and if you played Assassin's Creed 3, you can see few similarities with the two of them which ties them together.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Even though I don't think that Liberation's story is one of the strongest in the AC series, I believe that the game is still very enjoyable. The graphics are mediocre compared to AC III and can be choppy at times. The 10 hours of gameplay that Liberation delivers might let you forgive those graphic flaws and help you focus on the story. I think AC fans that haven't played this game already, will appreciate the storyline. If you are a new comer, I suggest for you to play Assassin's Creed 3 along with this game.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Draco - I think that the most over-hyped anime series in recent times has been "Attack on Titan". Don't get me wrong! I love this series, but I think that this series has become completely over-hyped. It is a great series with an amazing storyline. The fandom grew exponentially with each episode that came out. It was great but I think that the moment that really opened my eyes to how popular this series happened at Otakon 20 (2013). It seemed like the default cosplay of the year was Attack on Titan. Like I said, great series but my goodness...the hype!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Ranz - If we are talking recent times then noting else comes to mind so much as Puella Magi Madoka Magica! Now I like this anime, but for what everyone hypes this story up to be just fell flat to me. Most of it because of the main character complaining the whole time, like shes useless and I really wanted her to just go away, lol. Farther than that gripe, it just wasn't all that interesting asaid from the occasional "Oh shit" type of moments.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Violet Apparatus - Attack on Titan and RWBY even though that is not an official anime. Both are good, but it has become a bandwagon type of anime that everyone much talk about it nonstop. I would not recommend it particularly for people who first want to get into anime as an attempt.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Loli-chan - The most over-hyped anime recently in my opinion is Attack on Titan. The series may be good however the fan base killed it for me.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrnDRGPuD5-9GWw7r87JHJusHiuFnViFh5jC1nsGnYpCQTZEc9DRsl3UffxlRrA-0OReUo5r7_4spoIP2knnx2DEAPamfLXAwDz9z3P-jxm4_7GSP-oSd2G4d5KaV5pAOy7cVWNYnu-w8/s1600/new+anime+series+to+watch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrnDRGPuD5-9GWw7r87JHJusHiuFnViFh5jC1nsGnYpCQTZEc9DRsl3UffxlRrA-0OReUo5r7_4spoIP2knnx2DEAPamfLXAwDz9z3P-jxm4_7GSP-oSd2G4d5KaV5pAOy7cVWNYnu-w8/s1600/new+anime+series+to+watch.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
D - Following up on the previous question, I tend to look for more underrated series. I don't know why. Nothing beats that feeling of "I found this little series that only I seem to watch. Nothing beats that feeling of "I found this little series that only I seem to watch. No spoilers here unless I go looking for them". Of course, there is no series that only you watch, but it is cool to have one quiet thing. For me, this plays a factor because I hate having something spoiled. I also look at animation, series reviews, rating, etc. I guess I can be a bit meticulous in a way when it comes to picking something to watch.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
R - Well I'm not extremely picky when it comes to choice of watching anime, but bright colors and fluid animation tend to catch my eye even when I don't particularly like the anime itself. Another thing I would for is how long the anime is in terms of episodes. I can't sit and watch a series if its like 100+ episodes unless I'm REALLY into it.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
V.A. - It depends on the art style and storyline for me. I do enjoy a variety of genres, but I do not want a series to be rushed or dragged.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
LC - It all depends on the storyline for me. It could have the best art style but if the storyline is terrible, I won't even look at it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP1Gs_K3dBtvd2nbRWSSCpCwq0KSDi8JVS4tMYjKRpVEk_jq9kdDtgOey0LpSO5MPb3t7nSHY2RkSC3Ybi2gfSjAiK_IDQZqbp6HEz_BHt8ZufFQD7louMG8AnIh75f7r4a3UA3Y3fDX8/s1600/anime+series+hooked.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP1Gs_K3dBtvd2nbRWSSCpCwq0KSDi8JVS4tMYjKRpVEk_jq9kdDtgOey0LpSO5MPb3t7nSHY2RkSC3Ybi2gfSjAiK_IDQZqbp6HEz_BHt8ZufFQD7louMG8AnIh75f7r4a3UA3Y3fDX8/s1600/anime+series+hooked.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
D - Samurai Flamenco, hands down. This series is amazing. It really caters to my love for Tokusatsu. It has a strong Super Sentai influence and is telling a great story about an ordinary guy that wants nothing but to promote justice and peace in his city. This leads him to dress up as his own created (well kinda) superhero. As a kid, I always pretended to be Batman or Superman, so in a way I see that childhood fascination being realized in this series. I'm actually writing an article about this that will be rand over at <a href="http://www.sweetanimereview.com/" target="_blank">Sweet Anime Review</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
R - Before my last laptop went down, I was really into Ben-To. I made a post about it while I was watching it as well. As for as shorter recent-ish anime is concerned, I think this is one of those "take a look at least" type ventures. Definitely an anime that I need to finish up now that I have the time.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
LC - The series that I am hooked on at the moment is Danganronpa: The Animation. Even though its a really short series but it's one of those series that has many surprised and I definitely recommend it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
D - Heck yea! Samurai Flamencooooooooooo!!! Like I said, this series is my favorite right now. I've been watching it on Hulu. I watch every new episode basically as soon as it comes out.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
R - Not at the moment actually, but if Draco keeps going on about Samurai Flamenco I might just go ahead and check it out lol.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
D - I would have to say Kill la Kill. I've seen and episode of this so far and it looks AMAZING! The thing that excites me the most is that the animation style is like a dream come true for fans of old school hand drawn anime. It really pays homage to how anime used to look before things went digital. I'm not saying its a bad thing, but sometimes you kind of crave the darker art style.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
R - If I've seen anything of interest so far...it would be hands down Kill la Kill! I have only seen but five minutes or so of it, but know it would be something of interest when I finally get around to watching it. Seems like that Draco guy knows what to watch this season...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
D - That's hard to say actually. I haven't been able to really watch a lot of last year's series, but this year is looking to be starting out strong with the likes of Space Dandy.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
R - I certainly hope so. Nothing really caught my eye last year but this year seems to be looking up with thing like "Kill la Kill" coming out.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
LC - That's really hard to say. I like to wait and see what comes out before judging it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
D - Looking back to when I first started watching anime, no. I don't want to take away from any of the current series that we all enjoy, but I wish that there was a story as captivating as Evangelion or complex as Legend of the Galactic Heroes. I miss the factions of Gundam Wing and so on. In my opinion, most series today seem a bit lighter than ones of years ago.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
V.A. - I still prefer my classics over the newer series of anime I had been watching. Saint Seiya will be my favorite since the series is still going and the anime started in the 1980s. Though, a few new series has potential. Space Dandy can be one of them. Newer animes are shorter in episodes compared to the older ones.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
R - When I watched way back, it was a new world to me....an odd one but a good one. Now I think the art is even better, the stories bigger, and the cast more diverse (sometimes). So anime is going in a good direction but I don't believe its the best it has been since I began watching it. With much room for improvement on the formulas that we are used to it will only keep getting better in the coming years.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
LC - I prefer the classics over the newer ones. Anime is getting better and better as the years go on, however, it wont measure up to the series I used to watch as a kid which made me love anime to begin with.</div>

<br />
When I was in my mid-teens, I stumbled upon something that would change my outlook on anime forever. Up until this point, most of the series that I had seen had not reached me with a deeper meaning. That was until I accidentally set my VCR (yes, I am dating myself a bit here) to record the wrong timeslot on Cartoon Network. Instead of taping Toonami's Midnight Run, I had taped Episode 20 of Cowboy Bebop - "Pierrot le Fou". At first, I didn't think that I would like it. I had never heard of Cowboy Bebop before, but after giving this erroneously taped episode, I never once had a single regret. Cowboy Bebop is such a great series and in fact has had a huge influence on me.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsrVOWaed0AFloY5RWQ-b4BpDNUrbDm1INbfnxaqcAwwbtn3qBYR7sepVf1nXY6sBN8RoOxXLFha97zD7jSw5NX97Can6CV2VhinPte-VfvrB3QRoTvSCxd_Rfm7GuHvgRxfj_2_k_QhM/s1600/edcomputer.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsrVOWaed0AFloY5RWQ-b4BpDNUrbDm1INbfnxaqcAwwbtn3qBYR7sepVf1nXY6sBN8RoOxXLFha97zD7jSw5NX97Can6CV2VhinPte-VfvrB3QRoTvSCxd_Rfm7GuHvgRxfj_2_k_QhM/s320/edcomputer.jpg" /></a></div>
If you know me in real life, you know that I love computers. So much in fact that I work in the computer field. There is actually a pretty interesting story behind my career choice though. To be honest, most of my influence to go into this field came from watching Cowboy Bebop and admire Ed's hacking skills. Looking back, they were pretty weird and super visual, but as a kind this was a great source of inspiration. I went to college with the desire to learn how to hack. Yup, I wanted to be a hacker. Still do...just whitehat though.
<br />
<br />
Why is Ed so inspirational? Well when you are a kid genius living with a three bounty hunters, you have to be able to carry your own weight. Ed did this in the form of using her hacking skills to breach information systems to gather info on bounties and leads. Not to mention that she was the most eccentric of the team. She was a perfect mix of genius and insanity. This is probably what drew me to her character. I mean...her name is Edward lol.
<br />
<br />
This is one of my favorite clips from Cowboy Bebop. If you haven't seen the series and don't like spoilers, it may be best to skip this video.

Well...there are a few answers to this, but that is besides the point. These three things are trademarks of one of my favorite tv series. No, I'm not talking about the Power Rangers series either. I'm talking about the series that Power Rangers has been adapted from; Super Sentai. If you have not had the pleasure of seeing one of the Super Sentai shows, you're missing out and NEED to take some time to catch one. Need more of a reason to watch? Read on and find out.

<br />
<br />
I think that the fact that I'm 20 something and still avidly into the power ranger universe says a lot. I grew up watching heroes in spandex save the world week after week. I think that by the time I was in my mid teens, I'd moved on from watching the series. This was a much needed break as I was not a big fan of the Disney era of PR. In this time, I somehow stumbled onto a YouTube clip of Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger. The clip was amazing! The "rangers" were doing real martial arts styles and it was very flashy. One look at it and I wanted more.
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyeDRgnnFHsKf7xtXSOhNnzbDJyE4qbxEBvV8uO9Xze67Uec51zIvLYF6-dbyXsRfXncwj9NaPYO-3k7kHnVPWTz2hMHNpc3D0y5CxKu9LGsAv7a1eJQ61Ve2y5PBkLgOvE5FDy6mFDj0/s1600/Gekiranger+_trio.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyeDRgnnFHsKf7xtXSOhNnzbDJyE4qbxEBvV8uO9Xze67Uec51zIvLYF6-dbyXsRfXncwj9NaPYO-3k7kHnVPWTz2hMHNpc3D0y5CxKu9LGsAv7a1eJQ61Ve2y5PBkLgOvE5FDy6mFDj0/s320/Gekiranger+_trio.jpg" /></a></div>This lead me on a journey into finding more episodes of this series. This was a time where I can admit, needed a hero...or five. I was simply fascinated with the Japanese story lines. Seeing the characters make mistakes, learn, grow, and become great had a much stronger appeal that the US counterpart at the time. I found this to be inspiring, and is why I still love Gekiranger. I also loved how the bar was raised multiple times throughout the series. I can honestly say that it never got boring. Not to mention that the themes for each episode kept it pretty fresh as well.
<br />
<br />
Needless to say, Gekiranger exposed me to Super Sentai. This lead me to find other series that I enjoyed, such as Gokaiger, Zyuranger, Dairanger, Maskman, and many more. Have you ever watched anything from the Super Sentai series? Tell me all about it in the comments! I'd love to hear about it.Dracohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17288389974059022571noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1849494091609417928.post-48570923992809050612014-01-15T18:00:00.000-05:002014-01-15T18:57:30.326-05:00.:: Trying Something New ::..<a href="https://yt4.ggpht.com/-SixK-U1jMsg/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/n76jU-5KaTk/s100-c-k-no/photo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://yt4.ggpht.com/-SixK-U1jMsg/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/n76jU-5KaTk/s100-c-k-no/photo.jpg" width="200" /></a>Have you ever watched an anime, japanese movies, or even a k-drama (korean drama) and wondered what they were eating and if you could make it yourself? I know I have! I'm always open to trying new things even if its just once. So after seeing something in a movie and wondering what it is I would go surfing the internet to find a simple way to make it. And after awhile of searching I came across a channel youtube that explains to you how to make the food and the items needed for it. That channel is <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/cookingwithdog/videos">Cooking with Dog</a>.<br />
<a name='more'></a>Here are six dishes that I've always wanted to try and why:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/bcJlmhoYNfI?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<b>1.) Omurice: </b>I like this dish because its a simple yet different way to eat eggs and rice.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/yfEUwNQTXwU?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
<b>2.) Ramen:</b> Even though we have tasting ramen here in the States I always wanted to make homemade ramen. Being a fan of Naruto I always wanted to know why he loved it so much and it looks like fun to make.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/9Y4GaoKIvaY?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<b>3.) Dango: </b>Its a sweet treat they sell in japan and it kind of reminds me of a donut lol<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/iisOssAvc6c?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<b>4.) Mochi Ice Cream: </b>an sweet treat to have on a hot day or any day. I've had this before at a japanese restaurant and always brought some from a local store called H Mart. Someday I will master how to make this lol<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/Dn2Gs5OphV0?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<b>5.) Tsukemen: </b>Another dish I saw watching Naruto. Its similar to ramen however you keep the noodles separate from the soup.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/PHDmVhShE80?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br />
<b>6.) Takoyaki: </b>I forget where I first seen this but I always thought it was an interest dish to try. I've never had something that you would usually have something sweet in the middle that instead has octopus in it.<br />
<br />
<br />
Hopefully you enjoy the videos and find them simple to make as I did.<br />

At the start of the game Bigby responds to a call by Toad at the Tenement building in the Bronx about a situation that is going on in the apartment above his. As you enter the apartment you see the Woodsman (The Little Red Riding Hood) beating up on a woman. A major fight scene happens and afterwards you try to find out what the woman's name is but she responds with "These lips are sealed". Afterwards Bigby goes to the Woodland's in Fabletown and finds Beauty hiding from Beast, Beauty asks Bigby to not tell Beast where she is and leaves. Moments later as Bigby enters the elevator, Beast spots him and asks about Beauty, you respond as you want and Beast leaves. Bigby makes his way into his apartment and finds Colin (One of the Three Little Pigs, lived in the straw house) sleeping on Bigby's chair. After Colin wakes up, words are exchanged and Bigby gets some shuteye.</div>

There is a knock on the door and Bigby opens it to find Snow White and tells Bigby to walk outside with her. Bigby notices a security jacket covering something, as he moves it, he discovers the head of the woman who had the altercation with the Woodsman. After searching for clues, Bigby decides with Snow when to tell the Deputy Mayor of Fabletown; Ichabod Crane. When Crane is told, he takes his frustrations out on Snow and tells the two of them to figure this murder out. A major clue being the woman's ring and help from the magic mirror, a book of Fables and Bufkin, Bigby and Snow find out that the woman's name is Faith and she is from the story of Allerleirauh. Also she is married to a Prince Lawrence who lives in the Bronx, the magic mirror shows a disturbing photo. After gathering that information, Toad calls Bigby telling him to hurry back to the Tenement building. You choose where to go first, this decision affects the storyline tremendously. </div>

Whatever you picked you will go to that place first and deal with the situation. With Toad you will have an interrogation sequence and with Prince William, you will have a chase sequence with Tweedle Dee (has blood on him) after dealing with Prince William. After the second place has been visited, you will head to the Trip Trap bar where it is believed that the Woodsman is at (A suspect in the murder). You talk to Holly who is the bartender and Grendal who hates being bothered, both of them act like they haven't seen the Woodsman. A few minutes later the Woodsman comes out of the bathroom, a discussion is had and Grendal turns into his Fable form and attacks Bigby which initiates another major fight sequence. Afterwards Tweedle Dee walks in, sees Bigby, tries to run and Woodsman runs as well. You pick who to arrest. Bigby takes them to Fabletown and notices mundane officers surrounding the Woodlands. Chains the suspect to the pole and walks up to the front stairs and makes a grim discovery.</div>

Telltale games has done it again with The Wolf Among Us. Captivating storyline, intense decisions and likable and hate-able characters. I am personally not into magic, fairy tale games but I like the familiarity of the characters along with them being in more of a human setting. Episode one definitely has me hooked in, I cannot wait till the next episode comes out.</div>

In part one I spoke on how Capcom gave the Ax to Viewtiful Joe and the Anime that came within its wake. This week its Onward to TWO of my favorite games in the entire library of Gamecube games...Viewtiful Joe and the sequel Viewtiful Joe Two.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a>Viewtiful Joe is an Acton platformer for the Gamecube and the Ps2. The gameplay is that of 3D characters on a 2D, sidescrolling plane. The Cel-shaded graphics were easily some of the most impressive things ive seen visually on the system at the time. Joe's powers consisted of what the game called "VFX" and they helped with fighting and solving the various puzzles throughout the game. My favorite being that the player could slow down everything and fight in what essentially was bullet time. His other powers consisted of zooming in and freezing the enemies in place, and speeding up time making Joe able to throw a furry of punches so fast they catch on fire. In Viewtiful joe 2 you are joined by Joe's girlfriend, Sexy Silvia. She fights with dual guns (which i am totally for) and has two different powers. Silvia can record her last action and replay it three times over, as her other skill is to generate electricity.<br />
<br />
<br />
Dodging enemies is one of the best parts about these games. A well timed dodge sends the dude you're fighting into a daze,which then you can send them flying into the other enemy on screen to rack up a combo. Seeing that is slow motion is incredibly cool, even to this day considering how old the game is. Viewtiful Joe is an Acton platformer for the Gamecube and the Ps2.

Dodging
enemies is one of the best parts about these games. A well timed dodge
sends the dude you're fighting into a daze,which then you can send them
flying into the other enemy on screen to rack up a combo. This became increasingly difficult as the enemies would sometimes out number you and it would take more than simple dodges to dispatch them. Some of the more common enemies would stop telegraphing their attacks.<br />
<br />
Bosses were NEVER easy in the world of Viewtiful Joe. There was no simple solution to defeating them quickly, and much trial and error would go into figuring out how to beat them with minimal damage. This being something i can appreciate about the game, after the tutorial they did not hold your hand (mind you i had a hard time on normal) and the boss rush that they throw at you is one of the most challenging parts of the game.<br /> <br />More or less Viewtiful Joe one and two are the same game, with minor tweeks here and there between the first and second game. Mainly moves that you can do, the fact that you have a partner, and further elaboration on the story. Clover really did not try to reinvent the wheel with this title or the sequels, They presented it as what it was; a traditional sidescrolling beat-em-up. That is the selling point of that game to me. A simple formula with new things here and there to keep a player's attention.<br />
<br />
HOWEVER...I cant say that every Viewtiful Joe game was as good. Clover did make not one but TWO "black sheep" games based off of this license, which i will be discussing next time.<br />
<br />
For those who have played Viewtiful Joe in some respect what did you think of the games? Would you try to revive this series for a third main title? Leave a comment!<br />And as always if you liked what you read make sure to check out my other thoughts on the <a href="http://www.otakujanaine.com/2013/12/life-is-viewtiful-part1.html" target="_blank">Viewtiful Joe anime</a>, and the Fate of the Company who created this and other wonderful titles;<a href="http://www.otakujanaine.com/2013/11/unlucky-times-for-clover-studos.html#more" target="_blank">Clover Studios</a>.<br />

<img src="http://images.wikia.com/walkingdead/images/archive/0/04/20131214190027!The_Walking_Dead_-_Season_2_-_A_Telltale_Games_Series_-_Episode_1_All_That_Remains_-_Full_Trailer" /></div>
<br />
Telltale is back with the second season of The Walking Dead. You control Clementine who was a very important NPC in the first season. She is no longer that little girl that needs full protection. Even though she is fully aware of the dangers of the walkers, she is still an 11 year old girl and her personality does shine through. Lets see what the first episode brings. (<b>WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD</b>)<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a>Before the episode starts, you are shown a short video of your play through of the first season, from when Lee met Clementine, all the major decisions you made to the last moment Lee and Clementine had together. Then the episode starts with Clementine, Omid and a very pregnant Christa walking towards the public restrooms by Gil's Pitstop talking about baby names. Omid and Christa walked into the men's restroom and Clementine walked into the women's restroom to get cleaned up. After a quick check of the restroom to make sure everything was clear, Clementine cleans up and leaves her gun on the sink counter as someone walks into the bathroom. Clementine runs into a stall as a teenage girl goes through her stuff and hears a noise and aims the gun at Clementine. While the girl tries to get more stuff off of Clementine, Omid sneaks into the bathroom, and even though his stealthy approach seemed effective, the door slams loudly and the teenage girl out of reaction shoots Omid in the chest causing his demise. Christa runs in, noticed Omid has been shot, shoots the teenage girl in the stomach and sobs over Omid's body. Clementine stands in disbelief.<br />
<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
The episode continues 16 months later with Clementine and Christa who is no longer pregnant and there is no baby (it is unknown what happened to her baby) is at a campsite trying to keep a fire going. Christa walks away to find some firewood as Clementine tries to add more fire to the wood that is currently burning. Then arguing can be heard at a distance with Christa and three guys. Clementine can choose whether or not to throw a rock at one of the guys named Winston or sneak away. Either way Winston runs after her in an intense chase sequence with intent to kill. After being able to break free, you push him into a walker and he eventually becomes dinner. Other walkers start to approach Clementine, as she is backing up, she falls into a river and gets swept away by the current until she passes out.</div>

<span style="font-size: xx-small;">Clementine watching Winston get bit by a walker</span></div>
</div>
<br />
Eventually Clementine washes ashore and walks through the woods as she finds a dog named Sam. Sam leads her to a campsite where Sam and his caretakers were staying at (caretakers are not there). Clementine searches for food and Sam starts barking at a walker who so happens to be tied to a tree. Clementine kills it and takes the knife that it had. Clementine then looks through the trash and finds a can of beans, uses the knife to open it and Sam starts begging. You can either share with Sam or refuse to feed it, either way Sam will attack Clementine by biting her in the arm. You can either punch Sam or hit him with a rock or stab him with the knife, eventually Clementine will kick him off and he will fall onto a metal frame that pierces him through his hind leg and midsection. Clementine can either kill him or leave him to die.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Clementine goes back into the woods clutching her bite wound and on the verge of passing out when she notices that there were a ton of walkers near her. She attempts to get away, but a walker almost gets the best of where when two guys Pete and Luke save her and carry her away. As they carry her to their camp, they noticed her bite mark on her arm and quickly assumed that she was bitten by a walker. Clementine tries to convince them that it was a dog bite, Pete and Luke discuss whether or not they believe her. Eventually they decide to take her to their doctor at the site to determine what kind of bite it is. Clementine ends up passing out and then is awaken being surrounds by the group staying at the campsite arguing whether or not she should be there. Clementine ends up startling a guy named Nick who is holding a rifle who accidentally shoots near Clementine. Clementine tries to tell everyone how her bite is a dog bite and it needs to get cleaned up. The group continues to argue and eventually the doctor named Carlos checks Clementine's arm and couldn't determine where the bite originated from so the group decided to lock Clementine in the shed to be safe.</div>

</div>
<br />
Clementine gets put in the shed and is in extreme pain from the bite and figures that she needs to find a way to clean the wound. She looks around and finds a hammer to remove a board that is covering a hole in the shed so she can sneak out to get some medical supplies. She can sneak into the cabin through a gap in the patio that leads to a trap door or she can knock on the window and grab Alvin's attention and he will help with some supplies and give her a juice box. Once you are in the cabin, you can listen in on the meeting as they are still talking about Clementine. Clementine goes up the stairs and walks into a bedroom and finds a roll of rags that can be used as bandages. She also goes into the bathroom and finds a needle but has to hide quickly as a pregnant woman named Rebecca walks into the baby clearly stressed out. Once the coast is clear, Clementine can leave the bathroom and look into the next bedroom, as she does that Sarah is in the room and notices her. She helps Clementine and approaches her in a way that the two of them should be friends. Whether or not Clementine agrees, Sarah still gives Clementine a bottle of peroxide and tells Clementine to not tell anyone that she helped her. Clementine leaves and sneaks back into the shed. Cleans out her wound and starts stitching herself with the needle and fishing wire. As she went to grab the roll of rags, they fall, she goes and reaches for them and a walker that had sneaked in attacks her. She beats the walker with a brick and impales it with a rake. Afterwards she bashes it in the head with a hammer. All the noise in the shed causes the group to break in and see what it is all about.<br />

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The group allows Clementine to come inside the cabin so Carlos can bandage her up. Carlos warns Clementine to stay away from his daughter Sarah and for her to apologize for using Sarah. Afterwards Luke comes in and gives Clementine some food and they have a decent conversation with one another. Nick comes in during it and apologizes for an earlier outburst towards her and tells her that they let a bite victim stay and that person ended up killing Nick's mother. Nick leaves and Pete comes in so Luke says that its time to get some rest and how they are going fishing tomorrow. Rebecca is the last to talk to Clementine and warns her to not get too comfortable.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
The next day Clementine goes to the river with Pete and Nick, during the walk there an awkward conversation comes up with Pete talking about Nick's childhood and Clementine can defuse it if she wants. As they arrive to the river, they see several fresh dead bodies lying around (one is Roman from 400 days). Pete says how this might have been done by an individual called Carver and tells everyone to look around. Clementine notices that her backpack is near one of the bodies, and as she examines her bag, the person is still alive. That person so happens to be one of the men who was arguing with Christa in the beginning of the episode. Clementine asks him where Christa is and the man asks for water. Whether or not Clementine gives him water walkers start coming in. Pete and Nick are fighting of zombies and Pete gets bit on the leg. Now Clementine has to choose who to save. Whoever she saves runs back with her through the woods.</div>

<br />
I enjoyed this episode a lot, it kept me on my toes most of the time. Being able to play as the character that I help protect in the first season is pretty awesome especially since I already have a connection with her and will try to have her survive any situation by any means necessary. Telltale games does not hold back on the danger against Clementine even though she is a child, as well as they show that Clementine has learned a lot from Lee during the first season. I cannot wait to see how the next episode turns out. I leave you guys with the decisions that I have made during my first walk through of this episode.<br />

Its the first game that I played from the clover company. His adventure should have spanned across at least 3 main games and as such Viewtiful was being set up to be the next big mascot from Capcom. As luck <a href="http://www.otakujanaine.com/2013/11/unlucky-times-for-clover-studos.html" target="_blank">(pun intended)</a> would have it, Viewtiful Joe fell to the wayside along with his "sister" <a href="http://www.otakujanaine.com/2013/11/kamiohkami.html" target="_blank">Okami</a> and "Brother" from <a href="http://www.otakujanaine.com/2013/11/gods-hand-smitesfew.html" target="_blank">Godhand</a>.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Viewtiful Joe is a obvious homage to Super Sentai or <span class="st"> tokusatsu as a whole, supported just by taking a look at his transformation sequence or even the fact that he yells "Hensin A-Go-Go Baby". If memory serves correctly his name is Joe for simply because he is just an "Average Joe" until he dons the powers he was given at the start of the game (or anime whichever you prefer). In my opinion this is what Clover ultimately had in mind when Capcom told them to create a new Intellectual property. Viewtiful is highly popular in the Capcom community. He has four games under his belt, an anime and even received a cameo in two fighting games; "Tasunoko Vs Capcom" and "Marvel Vs Capcom 3".</span><br />
<br />
<span class="st">The English dub of the anime covers the entirety of the first game with that extra anime flare added into it. Viewtiful's sidekick was even introduced early on as well, as a Saturday morning cartoon I wish that i had more time to watch it back then...not saying that I dont own the dvd collection or anything lol. The anime itself was really well written for something produced by "4Kids, but the OBVIOUS edits got under my skin alittle. If you are a fan of Viewtiful in any way I think its worth the time to sit and give it a watch though. The worst part about it is that the second season (that covers the 2nd game) never got a dub nor are the subs widely available. However if anyone out there can find them...Kudos to you!<br /><br />What do you guys think of Viewtiful Joe? Maybe he could have another day in the light? or should he just sit back and wait for Capcom to call him? Let me know in the comments!<br />Stay tuned for next weeks gamer friday where i give my thoughts on the 1st and 2nd game,and if you liked this check out what i had to say about <a href="http://www.otakujanaine.com/2013/11/unlucky-times-for-clover-studos.html" target="_blank">Clover studios' history</a>, <a href="http://www.otakujanaine.com/2013/11/kamiohkami.html" target="_blank">Okami</a>, and <a href="http://www.otakujanaine.com/2013/11/gods-hand-smitesfew.html" target="_blank">Godhand!</a></span><br />

Final Fantasy is a great series,It even seemed to do well with jumping into the 3D realm with the release of FF7. Some of us would like to disagree...Join Ranz and Guest host J.F.Crazy as they go over what they like and dislike about Final Fantasy 7-X-2<br />

<br />
The weather outside is frightful but playing games are so delightful. Its cold outside so what is better than cozy up on the couch with a comforter, a stack of games and my controller right by my side. See what games I am playing nowadays.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bf/Yakuza_4_cover.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="File:Yakuza 4 cover.jpg" border="0" height="200" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bf/Yakuza_4_cover.jpg" width="171" /></a>Yakuza 4 (<i style="background-color: white; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19.1875px;">Ryū ga Gotoku 4: Densetsu o Tsugumono)</i> - This Japanese open world action-adventure game takes you through the fictional city of Kamurocho. You play as 4 protagonists; Shun Akiyama, Taiga Saejima, Masayoshi Tanimura and Kazuma Kiryu (main character since the first Yakuza game). I am currently in the second section of the game playing as Saejima, who escaped out of jail after 25 years from taken out 18 members of a rival gang to find out he truth of what happened to the gang he was apart of (Yakuza). Plus I cannot seem to get the theme song "<a href="http://youtu.be/rxo7ZHuooFk" target="_blank">For Faith</a>" out of my head. I am hoping for Yakuza 5 to be released in North America.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://media.pcgamer.com/files/2013/03/Battlefield-41.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="174" src="http://media.pcgamer.com/files/2013/03/Battlefield-41.jpg" width="320" /></a>Battlefield 4 - Let me start of by saying that this game is a very nice looking game. Even on the PS3, that is the biggest thing in my opinion that stands out. I got somewhat into the campaign, the storyline isn't the strongest but it could be worse. Played some multiplayer with Draco which was very fun when we actually got into a server. It took around 10 minutes to find a server that would allow the both of us to join which was pretty annoying. He and I was on opposite teams and I will admit he had the upper hand on me (Draco you owe me a rematch). Then after that I tried playing the campaign and all of my progress was erased. So Battlefield is in my queue for now.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://sheattack.com/myblog/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/killzone-mercenary-1024x1024.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://sheattack.com/myblog/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/killzone-mercenary-1024x1024.jpg" width="200" /></a>Killzone: Mercenary - The Playstation Vita is a nice piece of hardware that suffers from a mediocre lineup of games. KZ: Mercenary's graphics is pretty freaking amazing on the Vita. Gameplay is fun and very easy to adapt to. This is the best FPS on the Vita so far. Even multiplayer is enjoyable. If you got a Vita or plan on getting one, this game should be in your must buy list.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8006/7696501230_0850c1bddc_z.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="166" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8006/7696501230_0850c1bddc_z.jpg" width="200" /></a>Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale - This game is a Super Smash Bros. rip off. Playstation fans would appreciate the game for the exclusive characters like Kratos (God of War), Nathan Drake (Uncharted), Cole (Infamous) and Sweet Tooth (Twisted Metal) among others. As well as other characters like Issac Clarke (Dead Space) and Big Daddy (Bioshock) who are on multiplatform games. The game is mediocre at best, Super Smash Bros. can run circles around this game before it can take a step. But if you buy the game for the PS3 you can get Vita version for free and Vice-Versa, which means double the trophies.<br />
<br />
So what are you guys playing? Let me know in the comments below.<br />

</div>
Did you have a group of friends that meant the world to you back when you were younger? Sometimes these friends seem to stick around forever, and other times life will call them to different places. It's ok when that happens though. Personally speaking, I've been there with my group of friends from high school and now my friends from college, but good friendships last forever. That is the point that "Kids on the Slope" does so well at getting across. The story of this series speaks the lesson that friendship is a powerful thing.<br />
<div>
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div>
This series is a bit short, but it is full of beautiful music and an amazing story about a kid that moves to a new town and goes to a new school just to find himself living some of the best days of his life. The series focuses one three friends; Kaoru, Sentaro, and Ritsuko. Kaoru moves to a new town where a few of his family members live while his father goes off for whatever reason....business I believe.<br />
<br />
The main theme of this anime is friendship, and this is shown strongly through the relationships shared between the three main characters. Sen and Ritsuko grew up together and actually live next to each other. Kaoru is a newcomer to having meaningful friendships and in many cases nearly sabotaged his new friendship with these two. All in all things always seem to work out no matter what, though the drama involved is quite entertaining. Not to mention the weird love triangles that form throughout the series. I can't even begin to really get into the details on those.<br />
<br />
The music for Kids on the Slope is simply amazing. With a heavy real world influence, viewers are treated to jazz classics like Moanin, Someday My Prince Will Come, Lullaby of Birdland, and many more. For me, the music is what gave Kids On The Slope much of its life and appeal. If you are a fan of good music, you will not be disappointed with the music in Kids on the Slope.<br />
<br />
All in all, Kids on the Slope is an amazing series and highly recommended. Be sure to check it out on Hulu or Crunchyroll.</div>

<img height="180" src="http://www.gamingtarget.com/images/content/news/psn.jpg" width="320" /></div>
Certain PSN members received emails from Sony to change their passwords after they noticed irregular activity.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a>Sony has sent emails to PSN users to reset their passwords after noticing that there were irregular purchases on their account. Certain PSN users have stated that they have noticed fraudulent charges on their account or on their card that is listed on their account. One user noticed that they have been charged $650 at a clothing retailer with the card they use on PSN. Other people noticed games that they never purchased on their accounts and/or received emails that a certain amount of money has been placed into their PSN wallet and gone soon after.<br />
<br />
There is no evidence on how widespread this is according to IGN. I personally don't have a card listed on my PSN account especially after the incident when PSN went down and accounts were hacked. Keep an eye on your emails associated with your PSN to be on top of any odd activities that may happen. I suggest buying PSN cards if you want something from the Playstation store.<br />

Has your account been hacked? Do you have any suggestions for other PSN users? Leave a comment below.<br />

Recently I've been looking for a game to play during my winter break from college. Everyone has their own personal preference of games they will and they also have a list of games that would never play at all. One of my favorite genre of games is mmorpg (massively multiplayer online role-playing game). However there are over a hundred plus mmoprg out there so picking one out of hundreds is pretty hard. So after searching for a couple of days the mmorpg that I've decided to give a try and that I've been playing for a couple of weeks is Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR).<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />SWTOR takes place during the time of tenuous peace between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, 300 years after Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 (SWKOTOR 1 & 2) and 3,500 years before the Star Wars films. During the 28 year long Great Galactic War, the Jedi took responsible for the success of the sith (which soon lead to the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQDSiwzxfJQ">Treaty of Coruscant</a> prior to the start of the cold wars). The Jedi Order relocated from Coruscant to Tython and the Sith had control over Korriban which they restored the Sith Academy. <br />
<br />
In the game you can pick whether you want to join the Sith Empire or Galactic Republic. There are 8 classes (4 sith empire, 4 galactic republic) and 16 advance classes (each class gets 2 advance classes). The classes for the Sith Empire are Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior, Imperial Agent, and Sith Inquisitor. And the classes for the Galactic republic are Trooper, Smuggler, Jedi Knight, and Jedi Consular. Whether you pick serving the Empire or the Republic your mortal choices will be tested. For example you can be a Jedi and make dark side choices or you can be a sith and make light side choices or choice to be in the middle.<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is a trailer that will show you the different classes and a slight look into there background.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.scottwash.com/unlocked/images/SWTOR%20Wallpaper%20Sith%20Warrior.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://www.scottwash.com/unlocked/images/SWTOR%20Wallpaper%20Sith%20Warrior.jpg" width="320" /></a>As for myself I've chosen to be a Sith Warrior because normally when I pick a game to play I go down the good path so I decided o give it a try. After playing for almost 2 weeks I have to say I'm loving the Sith Warrior story line. I also love the fact that whatever choices I make i will effect what happens to my character and the NPCs around me as I get further in the story. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There are two options you can pick while playing the game. You can either be free to play (F2P) which there are a lot of resurrections or you can pay $15 a month to pay (P2P). For myself I'm FEP since I've been busy with school work and once my winter break starts I'll be P2P. I highly recommend this game if you love Star Wars like I do. Is it different from other mmoprg? Not really, its kind of like WoW with Star wars lol but this is just my opinion. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you are or are interested in playing my Sith Warrior name is Mocca and I'm on the Shadowland server. Feel free to send me a message and maybe we can play together. c:</div>

What the hell does southern hospitality have to do with The Legend Of Korra? Leave it to the hosts of OJN to somehow make a connection between the two. In this episode, bloopers are all over the place...much like Ranz's "that's what she said" jokes. Spoiler warning though. There is an epic season 2 summary (up to episode 10) in this episode.

<img height="225" src="http://www.hdwallpapers.in/walls/call_of_duty_ghosts-HD.jpg" width="400" /><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
Activision is back at it again with a release of another Call of Duty game. This time its a whole new series focused on a Special Operation's force called Ghosts.
<a name='more'></a>For majority of the game, you play as Logan Walker and he was with his brother David "Hesh" Walker and his father Elias Walker when the Federation (antagonists, oil-producing nations of South America) take over the controlling space station of the Orbital defense Initiative (ODIN). Its a super weapon that utilizes kinetic bombardment and is used to destroy several cities is the southwestern part of the United States. While American astronauts sacrificed themselves to destroy the space station to avoid future destruction in the US, Logan along side is brother and father barely escape death in San Diego. <br />
<br />
The game timeline progresses 10 years as Logan and Hesh are part of a US unit commanded by their father and noticed that an American is working with the Federation by the name Gabriel Rorke. He was a former Ghost that was presumed dead after a mission that was completed with Elias where Rorke was abandoned. Rorke was taken hostage by the Federation and was tortured into going against the Ghosts. Logan and Hesh have a mission in Dead Man's Land (the land that was destroyed) and proved themselves worthy of being part of the Ghosts. Their main objective is to kill Gabriel Rorke and they progress through many missions throughout the game to get to that point but do they complete the mission?<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="258" src="http://i2.wp.com/lzygmrs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/call-of-duty-ghosts-riley-dog.jpg?resize=620%2C400" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
One of the disappointing things about story mode is how they hyped up the dog Riley but he was only in the very beginning after the prologue and then left when he was injured. To me it seemed like Riley was going to be more of a factor in the story mode. Don't get me wrong, the time that I did get to play with Riley was fun, attacking enemies, pulling pilots out of helicopters, how he responded to commands. He was definitely the coolest character, just the hype was way overboard for him compared to the amount of time that he is in the game. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="224" src="http://www.game-debate.com/blog/images/mpu_ghostsquadmodeMPU_id1380878728_343178.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
One mode that is brand new to CoD is the Squads Mode. You can customize up to 10 squad members from their styles of combat (Assault, CQC, Stealthy, Heavy Gunner, etc). You can take control of any squad members that you have unlocked. Under squad mode there are four game modes: Squad Assault which is you and 5 members of your squad vs an AI squad that another player has made. Squad vs. Squad which is you and your squad vs another human player and their squad. Safeguard is you and four other players going against AI (survival mode). Last is Wargame which is you and 5 other players fight a team of AI players similar to what you would face in multiplayer. Squads mode is a good way for people who need to brush up on their skills. Also these squad members you created, you can use in multiplayer (one at a time). <br />
<br />
Multiplayer has the modes that Call of Duty fans love; Team Deathmatch, Domination, Free For All among others but there are new ones that are fun. One is cranked, once you get a kill you have a timer that starts at 30 sec and counts down so you have to gather up kills, and as you get more and more kills you gain perks like faster movement, faster reloads etc. Once the timer hits zero, you explode if you aren't killed beforehand. This mode makes the matches fast paced and extremely intense. Another one is called Blitz, its similar to capture the flag but you have to take control of the enemy's zone for a certain period of time in order to gain points. Once you score points on an enemy, you will teleport back to your zone and have to run the full length of the map to the enemy's zone again.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="225" src="http://neptunegames.it/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Call-of-Duty-Ghosts-Extinction-mode-03-11-2013-19.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<br />
Another new mode is called Extinction, four players gather up to fight aliens in a post apocalyptic world. Most people might say that this is similar to Treyarch's Black Ops Zombie Mode. You have to complete objectives, destroy hives, kill aliens and going through search parties. You gain money by doing so which can be used to purchase additional guns that are laid out throughout the map. This mode is not infinite, after destroying a specific amount of hives and releasing a nuke you must return to your starting point for extraction within the time limit.<br />
<br />
After putting a decent amount of hours into Call of Duty, I do for the most part enjoy the game. The story line to me seemed too short, left me wanting more. But I do like the fact that it is a brand new storyline and will continue as a series. Most Call of Duty fans either have the game or will purchase is in the future but for the gamers looking for something new, Ghosts is a game that anyone can pick up even if you never played a CoD game before because of the new storyline and the new mode of Squads for people who are not familiar with multplayer. So for those who have the game, what do you think about it? Write your review below. As for those playing on PSN, hope to see you in multiplayer.<br />

Again a victim of obscurity because of the meddling of Capcom, this game had good potential behind it. My brief play of the game was more delightful than I thought it would be, but then again I seem like Im a Clover fanboy.<br />
<a name='more'></a> <br />
For those looking for a comparison to what God Hand might be, it feels a lot like playing Double
Dragon from the days of NES with a feel of Hokuto No Ken (Fist of the
North Star) and wacky humor to give it an extra boost. Though it may seem like your average action/beat em
up game, it's far from it, God hand is no "Press A to win" game. Instead this game allows you to completely
customize your move arsenal by assigning the combos to any move in
any sequence you desire. In addition you can map supporting attacks to any of the
attack buttons as well. A total of 114 different moves i believe can be pulled off, depending on how you
like your combat. Levels can get a bit hard but it's not in the
frustrating manner because the game won't do what you want it to do,
rather it's from the AI and you having to improve your own skill. You know that thing you dont really need to play a game nowadays.<br />
<br />
God Hand also has a few mini-games thrown
in to keep you occupied when the simple money collecting through combat
might get tedious. Think back to something like "No more heroes". The game has a good amount of
playtime so it can last quite a while but at the same time you can
speed through it if you really wanted to. This game in itself is funny, but possibly offensive....to many people. I would have to say the best part is that the game does not take itself seriously, I absolutely love games that have a sense of humor about themselves.<br />
<br />
In terms of gameplay, I
highly recommend it as if brings some nice new elements to the action
genre that seem to have gotten stale lately. I believe fans of classic
beat' em ups like Final Fight and Double Dragon will also enjoy this
title. Though I would advise anyone that gets easily offended to stay
away, but if that were the case you wouldnt be on the internet. ^^<br />
<br />
God Hand has seen very mixed reviews in its life cycle, all ranging from "Its a bad,good game" to "This game sucks and you suck for playing it". Maybe it was just meant to be the black sheep in Clovers lineup of games, or maybe the game was just too HARDCORE for its time.<br />

Bungeoppang...most wouldnt even know what that even is. To be truthful I didnt either when when I had some for the first time. Its a Korean desert food where the outside is like that of a cake-like(?) consistency where as the inside is filled with icecreamy goodness. Also there is red bean paste inside which is equally as good. When I heard about the bean paste I was all like "ewww beans" but Loli-chan made me try it after much debate. After eating one (more like 10) I see now that they have a great taste for an afternoon snack or before bed delight. As far as getting your hands on these I can only recommend heading to a local Korean market or at the least asking around and see if anyone has heard of this treat. You have that "Ranzignus trustworthiness" that you wont go wrong with getting some of these.<br />
If you guys have any other tasty delights you want others to catch wind of, make sure to leave'em in the comments below! <br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Last Saturday, gamers have been trying to find out as much as they can about the Xbox One. One lucky person who got their console early from Target and posted as much as they could on twitter as well as YouTube. </span>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Target has sent an undetermined amount of regular Xbox One consoles because there was no set release date for them (The Day One Xbox One consoles have the November 22nd release date). Twitter user <a href="https://twitter.com/Moonlightswami" target="_blank">Moonlightswami<span class="p-nickname" data-scribe="element:screen_name" dir="ltr" style="background-color: white; color: #707070; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; outline: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-decoration: none;"> </span></a> put out as much information as he can from how long it takes from when you turn on the Xbox One to when it loads up the dashboard to how many GB it will take for each <a href="http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/11/xbox-one-launch-title-install-sizes-revealed" target="_blank">available game to install on the hard drive</a>. <p>Instead of anime, I decided to feature an American cartoon today. It is from the creator of Adventure Time. It's time for the Bravest Warriors!!!!!!

It seems like all the games that Clover made were all sent to the outskirts of Capcom history, only to be dug up every so often to be referenced in a crossover game. That being said Okami is of course one of those hidden gems that DESERVE more attention than it received.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Okami is a game that I enjoyed,even before I played it. Visually the game grabbed my attention and pretty much ran with it. Its just simply amazing to look at! The premise is pretty that you control the sun god Amaterasu (who HERself is pretty much a really bad ass wolf), who has to rid the world of evil with her smiting paint of death while helping normal folk in the process. Okami is a blend of action and puzzle solving with beautiful music to go along with it. The game pretty much revolves around using the celestial brush to manipulate different elements of the world around you. Such as cutting a tree down to get across a body of water,or other things like that.<br />
<br />
A simple mention from a friend is what prompted me to even look into this game, but if not for the fact there was a motion control Wii version I may not have played this masterpiece of a game. Capcom themselves almost missed out on alot of sales and introducing players to the world of Okami. The port was in limbo for some time because of something Capcom did as the game was being released for the Ps2 which i mention <b><i><a href="http://www.otakujanaine.com/2013/11/unlucky-times-for-clover-studos.html" target="_blank">in my last gamer friday post.</a></i></b> The team that worked on the original had departed, and their saved work scattered. In short, the Wii port(and i would assume part of the PS3 port) was made almost from scratch, but it was done out of fan support and the development team's love of Okami.<br />
<br />
Like I stated before this game pulled me in with its stylized cel-shaded graphics and its environment based on Japanese folklore. Like mentioned as well the Celestial brush is the main mechanic of the game. Its made only better by the fact that on the Wii and PS3 you can actually draw the strokes of the brush by moving the controller instead of just an analog stick. Even thought the game is fairly easy I cannot recommend this enough for a casual gamer, At the end of the day I think that Okami is a very relaxing game and is well worth the price tag that is put on it today.<br />
<br />
Again,i wish that Amaterasu had more adventures than the one. There was a quietly released sequel that focuses on a pup with the same powers as the Sun god on the Nintendo DS. This game (Okamiden) however was nowhere near up to par with the original. Maybe Capcom will will one day take her off the leash shes on...Until then Amaterasu will have to "Play dead".<br />

Don’t get me wrong though; I do have some series that have caught my eye. For example, Shinichiro Watanabe has a new series that is premiering in January called <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoZ2udQkr3c" target="_blank">Space Dandy</a>. I don’t know a whole lot about it, but I am looking forward to seeing what it will all be about. I managed to catch a trailer for it and must say that it looks pretty interesting. Aside from that, I would also have to say Gundam Build Fighters. This one is based on simulated Gunpla battles. I recently bought my first Gunpla so I’m looking forward to how this series plays out.</span></div>

By far my 2 top favorite genres of anime is magical girl and shounen ai HOHOHO! The aspects I love magical girl anime is watching the protagonist grow and realize her power. I’m a type of person that loves the very first episode of a given anime especially a magical girl anime. I get the see how a normal girl turns into something a lot bigger than she ever thought she could be. That and I love all the transformations, which is probably my favorite part of any magical girl anime honestly. I love the bright colors, the sparkles and the whole thing. It just makes me smile and I have no one to blame but Sailor Moon for that. The transformations are pretty top notch even in today’s anime by far. It’s hard to compete with. Besides that I love the somewhat cheesy plot, upbeat tone and vibrant colors that magical girl anime typically have. It’s apart of the experience for me when I do want to escape from regular life. I can go on forever but that is probably the top highlights.</span><br />

I honestly just love seeing guys do things that isn’t all that socially acceptable. Like having a lot of emotions, being really sensitive, vulnerable and most of all just falling in love with another man. Just seeing those emotions clash and the energy being played throughout is something I love to see over and over again. That and I just love guys with other guys *coughtokeepitclean*. </span></div>

I watch so many different genres and I’m sure that by now you are seeing a bit of a repeating theme. I have been known to watch a lot of action as seen in my sometimes over enthusiastic mentions of Dragonball Z in some of my previous anime posts. There is also my love for anything with suspense/mystery. When done right, an anime falling under this genre will really grab my attention. You can see this in my love for series like Death Note. There’s also magical girl (which I rarely watch though do enjoy when I do *coughMADOKAcough*), slice of life, and romance…..yes...I fucking said romance lol.</span><br />

Revolutionary Girl Utena a total gem and classic of an anime. It’s one of my top favorites by far, I LOVE the show. It’s so different from a lot of the anime out there with it’s own unique added charms, it really captured my heart from the very beginning. I won’t go into the whole plot but the deeper aspects into the human psyche that it takes it’s inspiration from into each episode is something I truly appreciate. The characters are all fleshed out and have deep and meaningful backstories to them that make them who they are in the show. The relationships, allies and enemies that is made throughout the plot is something of a masterpiece and keeps me interested in what’s going to happen next. I highly recommend it, though it does have some light yuri undertones to it, but it’s subtle to the point I was able to overlook them for the show’s sake. </span></div>

I hate to be “that guy” but after 2006 manga went downhill for me, however I did see some titles that look promising the last time I was in the manga section of a bookstore a few weeks ago. I just remembered, I do have a short series (4 volumes) that I’ve been reading. It’s called Momogumi Plus Senki, it’s pretty typical the whole one guy with guardians has to defeat demons to achieve ABC type of storyline but the actual characters makes plot. That and it has my yaoi undertones that I love … Yeah ... *Cough* </span><span style="color: #222222; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></span></div>

I think that the whole premise of it was a kinda “X-men”/Avatar kinda thing. Its been awhile since I even took a look at it really. As an anime artist and creative person in general I can probably spit out 10 basic ideas at you. I day dream so much that I would see the whole story play out in my head in an amazing way. It’s hard to answer this question for that reason alone, I have too many ideas lol! Even trying to find an old story is hard because I have so many mental paper balls with ideas on them in the back of my mind. </span></div>

The kicker is that each artists fight with their own unique power based on that artist’s personality and skill. I made the concept into a contest on TheOtaku a few years back that was super successful, it had ton of entries so it might be worth considering making. I would base it off my own online experiences as an artist and even base a lot of the characters around real like people I’ve met. </span></div>

The end of “Excel Saga”. It ended as stupidly as it started, in a good way of course. Completely random and off the wall as expected of the series itself, funny part is even though its a short anime (about 24 eps) I missed just about half of it when I watched through the first time. </span></div>

There are so many anime endings that lack true substance that made you feel satisfied. In this, I felt so good about everything and how it came together. Even if it didn’t have a second season I would of felt good on the way it ended. It made me emotional too, I had to hold back the tears because how real the relationship between the digimon and the main characters have gotten. It was a good feeling. </span><br />
