Huge Update On Xbox One

So I just received an email from Gamestop and it states that an internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games.  Once you do a one time system set-up, you can play any disc based game without connecting online again. There is no 24-hour connection requirement.  You can take your Xbox One anywhere and play your games just like you do with the Xbox 360.  Also there will be no limitations on using and sharing games.  Even downloadable games have no restrictions and there are no regional restrictions.  Seems like the team at Microsoft are using their brains.  The link to the article is listed below.

  1. It sucks that they still have a restriction on sharing downloaded games. Not too sure, but I don’t think there was a way to resale them anyway so I don't care too much about that part. Come to think of it, it sounds like the same limitations that the 360 has with downloadable content. From what I remember you couldn’t game share with that either.

  2. Yeah it is pretty much the same as the 360. I don't think people are really as concerned about downloaded games as much as they are concerned about disc based games.

  3. Microsoft finally realized that the knife cuts both ways. Has too much damage been done? Maybe with a small percentage of gamers. I think there will be a lot of forgiveness, a lot more than deserved.
